用途：海泡石是分子結構組成硅鎂化合礦物質。河南省海泡石是我國首次發現含高硅鎂層健狀的長纖維狀高級礦物，其特點是：纖維分布明顯，可分剝為柔軟的細長張維，品種多，儲量大。根據其結構特征，可分為軟質長纖維、硬質長纖維、土狀等品種。河南海泡石其結構特征、物化性能優異，有獨特的“吸附性、流變性、催化性、熱穩定”四大功能。具有隔熱、保溫、脫色耐酸、耐磨、抗鹽、絕緣、防腐等性能。它是制做高級保溫材料、微孔保溫劑、保溫板、絕緣板、造紙、布、繩、耐摩擦制品和制作吸附劑、懸浮劑、催化劑、增稠劑、脫色劑、除臭劑、助灌劑和載體的理想基料，因而是一種用途十分廣泛的非金屬礦產。
